Chamberlain Group is a global leader in access solutions and products. They design and engineer residential garage door openers, commercial door operators and gate entry systems.  Chamberlain asked Evoke Projects for advice on creating an open plan environment that could truly empower staff to work at their optimum. They have a strong team and felt it important to support their creativity and work ethic by upgrading staff facilities that had become tired and restrictive. They wanted an office fit-out where each department felt their individual needs were being catered for. The aim of the office refurbishment was also to inspire staff and encourage collaboration between departments.

Evoke Projects worked closely with the teams at Chamberlain to assess workflows and departmental interaction. It was vital to create an office space that allowed the integration of a variety of different staff duties and responsibilities. Chamberlain’s back office department is adjacent to their large manufacturing warehouse, and Evoke’s office design concepts had to consider the workplace safety aspects of having these two departments in close proximity. The finished result is a safe and dynamic office space with tailormade workspaces and zones that allow people to work where they choose. A highlight of the new office fit-out is the open plan breakout area used for formal and informal collaboration. Feedback from staff has been very positive and the company feels that the office fit-out is uplifting, reflecting their brand and hard work culture.
