JSA Group

Newcastle, NSW - 930sqm

JSA Group are an Australian company with over 40 years of experience in providing financial advice and services to assist their clients in building their wealth to support their lifestyles. Evoke worked closely with the company’s directors in their transition from their long-standing, aging Charlestown office into their new corporate 930sqm head office in the purpose-built commercial building in Broadmeadow. JSA’s brief for the new office space was to create a fresh, spacious, collaborative and modern workplace environment for its employees and clients. Their reception and client interfacing zones were a main priority, wanting to ensure a welcoming, comfortable, relaxed yet sophisticated experience showcasing JSA’s values and brand through its layout, furniture and finishes selections.

Acoustics and visual privacy were of utmost important to all meeting spaces, however they did not want to compromise on openness and an interactive atmosphere of the new workspace.

With the building’s footprint being long rectangular in form, to soften and provide an inclusive atmosphere, circular elements were introduced into the design and reflected in the curving reception joinery, feature timber blade ceiling and mirrored in the feature blue carpet insert underneath the reception joinery. To help bring light into the reception area, light timbers, concrete look tiles and textured carpet tiles were employed.

To provide a point of difference and variety, the breakout area showcases a dark feature acoustic ceiling with modern white sculptural pendants. A range of seating settings were offered to increase the functionality of the space to also cater for casual meetings to whole office events such as townhall style meetings.

As staff work in varied ways, work zones were created to suits various ways of working from differing sized offices and meeting spaces to open plan workstation clusters and collaborative lounge zones taking in the views over to the new stadium across the road.
