Skildare is a human resource firm who create effective leadership tools for implementation into the workplace. The firm required a larger space to allow for future growth and modern facilities for their employees and clients.
The main objective for Evoke’s design team was to create a workplace that reflected the company’s identity and their commitment and professionalism in every aspect of what they do.
The floor plan is a functional open plan office design with private offices for both the CEO and Manager which allows for future growth and flexibility, the open plan layout also reflects the company’s transparency. The office design was split into two sides with one side of reception the open plan employee space and the other side is the client space.
Multiple meeting and breakout spaces have been created including high and low media tables in the open plan space for casual internal meetings and one large formal boardroom. The boardroom features green carpet and coloured acoustic fins to give the space a bright and professional look.
Skildare’s reception area is an inviting and professional space created by the use of grey and neutral tones in combination with woodgrain textures. The custom acoustic floating ceiling panels soften the overall look both aesthetically and functionally.
A café style kitchen is located close to the boardroom and reception so it easily accessible to both employees and clients and includes sliding doors out to an exterior verandah which allows natural light and air to flow. This space also has two casual meeting zones.
The Skildare logo was used as inspiration for the office design’s curve features in the flooring which create a visual path for clients to follow from the office entry through to the café and boardroom. The use of circles was inspired by how circles symbolise wholeness which was interpreted as ‘One Team’.
The colour scheme for the entire office design and fit-out was heavily based on the colours contained within the Skildare logo focusing on blues and greens along with neutral grey’s and whites. The use of colour was to create a comfortable but interesting space for employees and clients. Wood grains, soft materials, acoustic panels and multiple seating options were used in contrast to the exposed concrete ceiling and overall industrial appearance of the building.
