Chatterbots is an independent Paediatric Speech Pathology Practice based on Sydney’s North Shore. With growth for the next decade in mind, Evoke Projects were engaged for the Design and Fitout works of their new space.

Project Brief
Chatterbots believe therapy should be fun and effective, and the new practice needs to evoke those feelings to the paediatric patients and their carers. The physical space in which the therapy takes place has a profound impact on a child’s engagement. Evoke Projects were tasked to design a practice that was light, bright and playful as well as practical and collaborative for the therapists working there through the day.

Tasteful hues of blue, pink and green feature through the space and are further accentuated by fun, feature wall decals. Soft curves feature in joinery, flooring, paint, and fixtures to soften normally hard edges.

Design Challenge
With only one perimeter with windows, there was a challenge to get natural light flowing into the reception and front consult rooms. The design team included window highlights to walls and a well-lit central corridor to allow light to filter into the reception space through a timber slat feature wall.
