    Gillieston Heights (In Progress)
New Build I Gillieston Heights I NSW
    1200 m²

The Gillieston Heights Medical Centre New Build project represents a unique opportunity to deliver a purpose-built healthcare facility that responds directly to the needs of its growing community. This project encompasses the full lifecycle of development—from the demolition of the existing residential dwelling through to the design and delivery of a contemporary medical centre.

    Project Brief

Our team is engaged across architecture, interior design, construction, and project management, ensuring a fully integrated approach that aligns vision, functionality, and delivery. The outcome will be a cohesive, high-performing healthcare environment that supports both patient wellbeing and operational efficiency.
The development involves the complete transformation of the existing site into a modern, purpose-built medical facility. Works include demolition, civil infrastructure, car parking, and the construction of a new commercial building designed specifically for healthcare delivery. The internal layout will accommodate a range of medical services, including: general practice consult rooms; reception and waiting areas; pathology services; and treatment and procedure rooms.
The design approach focuses on creating a fresh, contemporary building that reflects the brand identity while providing a highly functional and flexible layout to support current and future operational needs.
    Design Goals

The design for Gilleston Heights Medical Centre is guided by a series of key objectives. These include creating a patient-centred experience, with a calming and welcoming environment that reduces stress and supports positive healthcare experiences for patients and their families, with spaces that are intuitive, comfortable, and inclusive for all age groups.
The design also aims to deliver a contemporary, brand-aligned aesthetic through a clean and modern architectural and interior language that reflects the clinic’s identity, reinforcing a sense of trust, professionalism, and care. A strong focus is placed on creating a family-friendly environment, incorporating considered waiting areas, child-friendly zones, and spatial planning that supports ease of movement with prams and children.
Functional efficiency is central to the planning, with highly efficient clinical and staff areas designed to support smooth workflows, clear adjacencies, and operational excellence across all medical services. The project prioritises staff wellbeing and retention by providing high-quality staff facilities and environments that promote comfort, productivity, and overall wellbeing. Future-focused and flexible planning ensures the building layout and infrastructure can adapt over time, accommodating evolving healthcare models and future service expansion.
Finally, the design responds to site integration and accessibility, delivering a well-planned external environment with safe and accessible car parking, clear entry points, and a strong connection between the building and its surrounding context.
